Wait was about 40 minutes, which is to be expected around 7 pm on a summer Friday night in Castle Rock. The staff was friendly and attentive. Food was excellent. Meatballs are fantastic, great appetizer. Good selection of wines, cocktails and beer, even some beers from local breweries. The restaurant is in an old church built in the 1880s. Outdoor seating also available. Overall a great place to relax and enjoy some good Italian good.

Appetizer; fried calamari, and cocktails; Old Fashioned and Italian Margarita, were excellent. Service was above average. We dined on a Thursday which is the end of the restaurant fresh food week in preparation for the weekend. It was an anniversary dinner. We ordered clams with pasta and the “fruit of the ocean”. The clams were old and strong to taste. The other dish was surprisingly lacking in taste and spice. Glad it was a gift card dinner.

There is an Italian restaurant and a pizza place in this establishment. Very important detail. We ended up sitting in the restaurant with two kids for about 10 minutes before realizing they weren't going to serve us pizza. Our mistake. So we went next door and found a table pretty quickly. It's first come first serve over there.
We ordered mozzarella sticks to start. They were GBD but unfortunately the cheese burst out of most of them and they were hollow shells. Our server took them off which was nice but I really wanted some awesome mozzarella sticks!
We got two pizzas. Pepperoni and Margarita. I will say, they are big! Only one size but it feeds 4 easily. We took some home. The crust is pretty crunchy. Not a ton of chew to it and the margarita was again... lacking in cheese. Those usually have fresh mozzarella slices on it which gets spread around but one piece has no cheese whatsoever on it.
It was kind of a jumble of a night that started out awkwardly and as much as we tried to bounce back it just never got back on track.
Not a bad experience but not great either. It was just OK.

We enjoyed this place very much so we went back a week or later. Today's visit was just as pleasant, maybe more so! The kids pizza is fantastic frankly, and the pastas are very good. We enjoy the ambiance even though it's a bit cramped. Personally, and no politics influencing, I wish they would still wear masks. It's such a tiny place, and people are packed in. We arrived when there was only 1 other table but the time we left, almost every table was full and people were coughing and all sorts of stuff. I feel if the restaurant wore masks, it would help send a message to the patrons. Our next visit might be take out, but that's okay too!

Very cool, rustic Italian restaurant. Ask to sit at the big table upstairs if you have a group....you won't regret it. Great food and service. The mussels are the best I've had and you will mop up the sauce with the house made bread. Can't miss, Locally-owned place.
