We have been going here for over 20 years. NEVER had a bad experience. Food is Fabulous! Atmosphere is Awesome, both inside & on the Patio. Staff is Top Notch. This is a place where you go to " Dine" not just eat in a "burn-&-turn" restaurant. For the Absolute best Dining experience ask for Vera as your server!
We had been here once before. Such a wonderful hidden gem. Love the food! Great wait staff! We sat inside the first time we were there and it is a great indoor dining experience, as it is an old house. This time we sat outdoors and it was nice to feel like we were alone, even though there were quite a few other people there. The train going by was an interesting experience! Would highly recommend this place for a sit down dinner. We have small children, and I would not bring them here. I feel it would kill the mood.
I stopped in as a single diner and requested to sit on the deck, which was nearly empty. The hostess showed me three tables "under the eaves" that were far from the beautiful view on the other end of the deck and told me "These tables are available." I made the assumption that the other tables were all reserved. As I observed for an hour, diners arrived and were offered any table they desired, so it was clear individual tables were not reserved. I spoke to the hostess (an unpleasant woman) about this and she told me I was responsible for requesting another table. No offer was made to move me and no apology made. I then spoke to the owner who seemed to justify what had happened by saying only reservations are allowed to pick a table. ???? Not sure about this. Again, no apology, no offer to move me. Sour and unwelcoming. The charcuterie board I ordered was nothing special Because this is the only restaurant in the area i am sure they can do whatever they please, but still it is not acceptable to make guests feel unwelcome. Maybe solo diners should find another place to spend their money.
Funny! We missed that this is a fine dining restaurant (I’m not sure how I missed that but I did) we giggled a little that we were not dressed for the type of restaurant that this is. We came from a visit to a echo mountain so I will let you guess our attire. This is a quiet and intimate restaurant. Our service was amazing... the younger gentleman that is from Wyoming helped us during our visit. The food was tasty and the cocktails are strong!
This is one of my sister’s favorite restaurants. She and her husband took me to dinner during a recent visit and everything was perfect. I enjoyed the eggplant Parmesan. My sis had the salmon salad and her hubby ordered the ahi tuna. All was delicious!
